Dam Inspection 2019
The Cedar Lake Dam had a professional inspection by a Connecticut licensed engineer in April of 2019. (Report was completed June, 2019).
The dam was inspected for:
- General / Overall Condition
- Concrete Condition
- Masonry
- Cracks
- Scouring
- Seepage / Foundation Drainage Condition
- Erosion
- Vegetative Cover
The final review listed the dam in “fair to good” condition related to all the above mention items.
- CLOA is responsible to create an Emergency Action Plan for the lake and this is expected to be completed July and will be posted on the website.
- The Dam/Roadway project has been approved by the Community Connectivity Grant Program and we were awarded $250,000.00 for the project. No official start date yet, but hopeful it will be a 2019 project.
