Survey of Aquatic Plants
Due to the dramatic increase of the plants growing in the lake this year the Board has approved a survey to be conducted by Aquatic Control Technologies on September 26, 2011. It is anticipated that the survey will identify the invasive plant species present in the lake and provide data that will help us effectively manage the problem.
The survey will include surveying the vegetaton using a combination of visual observations, underwater camera and throw-rake. Following the field work, Aquatic Control will produce a GIS-based vegetation map of the lake along with a write-up of the findings and management recommendations.
